Filling Materials

As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. For many patients, small injections of collagen can help to reduce these lines, restoring a smoother and more youthful appearance to your skin. Once injected, the collagen gently fills furrowed areas of the face and can create fuller lips. The most important fact to remember about collagen injections is that the results are not permanent because injected material eventually metabolized by the body. Results typically lasting six to 36 months, depending on the area being treated and the material used. A small percentage of patients may experience an allergic reaction.

Side effects: Patients may experience redness, swelling and possible bruising after the injects. (Lasting up to 7 days)

Restylane®

Restylane® restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and lips.

Perlane

Perlane® restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Perlane® is a more volumizing version of Restylane®.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® is used to correct facial lines and wrinkles, restoring a natural, youthful look in an easy, convenient treatment. Radiesse® is used to fill and correct smile lines, Nasolabial Folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. An advantage of Radiesse® is the potential to last one to one and a half years.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® is an enduring treatment approved by the FDA for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, in people with human immunodeficiency virus. It is the first FDA-approved product of its kind for this condition.

Facial fat loss can result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Sculptra® is a safe, synthetic, and biocompatible material that is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. It provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.

In a series of three treatments collagen will be stimulated with maximum improvement seen in six to eight months. At two years maximum collagen remodeling is still seen, making Sculptra® the longest lasting filling material on the market.

JUVEDERM™ Injectable Gel

JUVEDERM™ Injectable gel is a smooth consistency gel helping to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or "parentheses" (nasolabial folds--the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth), tear troughs (under the eyes) and lip augmentation.
